Lysander and Canso Funds

Purchases in the Canso Funds or Lysander Funds can only be made through an Investment Professional on the terms in a fund’s offering memorandum, prospectus or simplified prospectus by qualified investors. For example, only accredited investors may invest in funds sold via an offering memorandum.  Each purchaser of units in a fund may have statutory or contractual rights of action. The information in these documents are subject to change without notice.

Commissions, trailing commissions, management fees and expenses all may be associated with mutual fund investments. Please read the applicable Offering Memorandum or Prospectus before investing.

The indicated rates of return are based on calculated net asset values per unit, which are net of management fees, operating expenses, any applicable performance fees and applicable taxes. These returns include changes in unit value and reinvestment of all distributions and do not take into account certain fees such as redemption fees or optional charges or income taxes payable by any securityholder that would have reduced returns.  Mutual fund securities are not covered by the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation or by any other government deposit insurer. Mutual funds or pooled funds are not guaranteed; their values change frequently and past performance may not be repeated

You will usually pay brokerage fees to your dealer if you purchase or sell units of funds listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). If the units are purchased or sold on the TSX, investors may pay more than the current net asset value when buying units of these investment funds and may receive less than the current net asset value when selling them.

There are ongoing fees and expenses associated with owning units of the closed end funds.  These investment funds must prepare disclosure documents that contain key information about the funds.  You can find more detailed information about the funds in these documents.

Fundata is a leading provider of market and investment funds data to the Canadian financial services industry and business media. The Fund-Grade A+® rating identifies funds that have consistently demonstrated the best risk-adjusted returns throughout an entire calendar year. For more information on the rating system, please visit www.Fundata.com.

The annual FundGrade A+® Awards are presented by Fundata Canada Inc. to recognize the “best of the best” among Canadian investment funds. The FundGrade A+® calculation is supplemental to the monthly FundGrade ratings, which may change from month to month, and is calculated at the end of each calendar year. The FundGrade rating system evaluates funds based on their risk-adjusted performance, measured by Sharpe Ratio, Sortino Ratio, and Information Ratio. The score for each ratio is calculated individually, covering all time periods from 2 to 10 years. The scores are then weighted equally in calculating a monthly FundGrade. The top 10% of funds earn an A Grade; the next 20% of funds earn a B Grade; the next 40% of funds earn a C Grade; the next 20% of funds receive a D Grade; and the lowest 10% of funds receive an E Grade. To be eligible, a fund must have received a FundGrade rating every month in the previous year. The FundGrade A+® uses a GPA-style calculation, where each monthly FundGrade from “A” to “E” receives a score from 4 to 0, respectively. A fund’s average score for the year determines its GPA. Any fund with a GPA of 3.5 or greater is awarded a FundGrade A+® Award.
