Why Invest in This Fund

Crusader Asset Management's founder, Frank Stadler, has over 30 years of industry experience and is currently Global Head of Tactical Allocation and Chair to the Asset Mix Committee for one of the Province of Ontario's largest public pension plans with over $30 billion in assets.

Frank established Crusader Asset Management in March 2012 to manage, on a tax-effective basis, his own personal wealth after successful careers at CIBC and Investors Group.

Frank is passionate about exploiting the inefficiencies of the Canadian equity markets by using a quantitative approach to dividend investing, a process he refined as a Managing Director in Derivatives at CIBC and Global Head of Structured Products and Derivatives Advisory for Investors Group.

  • Process-driven - Quantitative, bottom-up approach is complemented by a macro-overlay strategy that is used to detect capital preservation trends where Frank can become defensive and raise cash or write calls and puts.
  • Tax-preferred Income - Focused portfolio looks to own above-median Canadian dividend-paying equities.
  • Alignment of Interests - The portfolio manager has invested the overwhelming majority of his life savings in the Fund, convinced that his active management provides the most attractive risk-adjusted rate of return.

See the Simplified Prospectus for more details on the Lysander-Crusader Equity Income Fund ("the Fund"). This document is not an invitation to invest in the Fund, nor does it constitute a public offering of sale. Commissions, trailing commissions, management fees and expenses all may be associated with mutual fund investments. Please read the prospectus before investing. The indicated rates of return are based on calculated net asset values per unit, which are net of management fees, operating expenses, and applicable taxes. These returns include changes in unit value and reinvestment of all distributions and do not take into account certain fees such as redemption fees or optional charges or income taxes payable by any securityholder that would have reduced returns. Mutual funds are not guaranteed or insured, their values change frequently and past performance may not be repeated. 1Source: TSX © Copyright 2018 TSX Inc. All Rights Reserved. 2Distributions are based on the actual number of units outstanding at the relevant time. Distributions are paid in cash or reinvested in additional units, or both. If the series’ net income/capital gains is less than the amounts distributed in the year, the distribution will include a return of capital. In these circumstances, if an investor elects to receive their distributions in cash and not reinvest distributions, it is expected that the value of their investment will decline over time. Distributions are not an indication of performance, rate of return or yield. ®Lysander Funds is a registered trademark of Lysander Funds Limited.
